EnTech 281: The GreenVillains 281, Robotics Team

Our Motto:
"Infiltrating young minds, one robot at a time"

Team 281, The GreenVillains, is a part of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), a worldwide robotics organization. We are part of EnTech Robotics, an organization that consists of three FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC, 7th-12th grade) teams and one FRC (9th-12th grade) team. We are the oldest FRC team in the state of South
Carolina.
Joining Team 281 is an extracurricular opportunity for high school students that brings the elements of STEAM to life, such as an opportunity to learn soft skills, hands-on skills like machine tool operation, programming, engineering, game strategy. We also have business aspects that we focus on, which includes fundraising, social media marketing, and more!
Our students design and build a completely new robot that can perform various tasks every year, and then compete against various other teams in events that go all the way up to the global level. We combine STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math with fun.

Our subteams on the team:
Mechanical
Electrical
Business
Programming
CAD
