Thank you for taking the time to view the GTCHS Board of Directors web page. Greenville Technical Charter High School is a middle college with a smaller learning environment to provide additional support for our students. The major elements which make it unique are parent involvement, excellent faculty and staff, and focused students. Because GTCHS is located on the Barton Campus of Greenville Technical College, qualified students are allowed and encouraged to complete college courses, qualifying for dual course credit; approximately 60% of seniors graduate with 24 or more college credits every year.
Parent involvement at GTCHS is essential, encouraged, and available through many opportunities. Specific to involvement with the Board of Directors, parents are encouraged to review meeting Agendas and Minutes that are posted on this site. You are also invited to attend monthly Board meetings and you are able to voice comments during the Public Input session of our meetings. When meetings are in person, they are conducted in the GTC Administrative Board Room located in Building 123 on the Barton Campus. Finally, parents are encouraged to participate in annual Board elections in the spring, either as a voter or as a nominee to serve a two year term as a Board Member.
Last year was difficult with the challenges brought by the pandemic; we are looking for a year with more certainty and much to celebrate with the opening of our new Student Learning Center. Thank you for your interest and support of your school, its faculty and staff, and the growing community of learners that we serve. Best wishes for a great and successful year at Greenville Technical Charter High School.
