    • The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States.*
    • Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

  • Acker Warren Fresh Start Scholarship

    $1,000

    Deadline: November 6, 2024

    • You are a freshman attending college this upcoming semester.
    • You are currently or will be enrolled in an accredited college or university for Spring 2025.
    • You are at least 17 years of age.

  • ACS American Chemical Society Scholars Program

    $1,000-$5,000

    Deadline:  March 1

    • U.S. citizens or a legal permanent U.S. residents (please inquire via email if you have questions regarding asylum or DACA status)
    • African descent or Black, Hispanic or Latina/Latino/Latinx, or Indigenous (e.g. Native American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Alaskan Native) (please see below for more details)
    • Graduating high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors. Seniors can apply for their fifth year.
    • Those intending to major or are already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or another chemistry-related science AND planning to pursue a career in a chemistry-related science as well (please see below for more details)
    • Full-time students at a high school or an accredited college, university, or community college
    • Those demonstrating high academic achievement in chemistry or science (Grade Point Average 3.0 or higher)

    • All prospective or current students enrolled in an accredited university or college, located within the United States may submit an application.

    Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

    You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

  • Alberta E Crowe Star of Tomorrow Scholarship

    Amount: $6,000

    Deadline:  December 1, 2024

    This award annually recognizes star qualities in a female high school senior or college student who competes in the sport of bowling. Candidate must be a Non-Professional USBC member in good standing and not reached their 20th birthday prior to Aug. 1. Star qualities include distinguished bowling performance on the local, regional, state and national levels, academic achievement and extracurricular and civic involvement. The award winner receives a $6,000 scholarship.

  • Amazon Future Engineer

    $40,000 ($10,000/year)

    Deadline: December 19, 2024

    Planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or other computer science related field of study and are planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university (or an accredited 2-year college, with the intent to transfer to a 4-year institution).

    You’re a high school senior with a 2.3 cumulative GPA

    Work Eligible in the United States for at least two years

  • American Board of Funeral Service Education

    $1,500

    Deadline:  March 1 or September 1

    Have completed at least one semester (or quarter) of study in a program in funeral service or mortuary science education accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education.  Students in coordinated programs are only eligible for an award during the period of attendance at the American Board accredited institution.

    2.  Have at least one term or semester remaining in his/her program which will commence after the award date (April or September) in order to be considered for a full award.  Students with less than a full term of study remaining will be considered for partial awards.

    3. Complete all forms required by the Scholarship Committee of the American Board of Funeral Service Education and submit them prior to the above deadline dates.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered by the committee.

    4. Be a citizen of the United States, U.S. Permanent Resident, International Student (F1-Visa holder) or a student in the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

  • American Culinary Federation Scholarships

    $1,500

    Be an exemplary student and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

    -Be currently accepted to an accredited institution with a culinary, pastry or foodservice-related major.

  • American Foreign Service Association Scholarship (AFSA)

    $2,500

    Deadline: March 11, 2024

    • Be a current high school senior or college freshman, sophomore or junior.
    • Be a dependent child of a Foreign Service employee who is an American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) member. The AFSA member must be or have been an employee (active duty, retired, deceased, and/or separated) with a foreign affairs agency as defined by the Foreign Service Act of 1980 (Department of State, USAID, USIA, USAGM, FCS, FAS or APHIS).
    • Have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
    • Demonstrate financial need.

  • American Ground Water Trust Scholarships

    • You MUST be a High School Senior intending to pursue a career in a groundwater related field.

  • American Indian Medical Scholarship Program

  • American Legion Scholarships

    $1,250-$10,000

    Scholarship applications are limited to students between their junior and senior years of high school who attend the current session of either an American Legion Boys State or American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program and are a direct descendant - i.e. child, grandchild, great grandchild, etc. - or a legally adopted child of a wartime U.S. military veteran who served on active duty during at least one of the periods of war officially designated as eligibility dates for American Legion membership.

  • American Muscle Student Scholarship Program

    $2,500

    • Only students currently enrolled full-time in an American college, Canadian colleges, Automotive Engineering programs, Trade schools, technical institute, or high school seniors planning to attend a college or post-secondary institution are eligible to be awarded a scholarship through this program.

  • American Rocketry Challenge

    $20,000

    Deadline:  December 1, 2023

    • Teams are made up of 3 to 10 students between 6th and 12th grade, a supervisor, and an official Rocketry Challenge mentor.
    • The rules vary slightly each year to provide a new challenge to competitors. The 2024 Rules require teams to design, build, and launch a model rocket that carries one raw egg to an altitude of 820 feet, stays airborne for 43 - 46 seconds, and return the rocket to the ground safely with the egg intact.

  • American Trucks Student Scholarships

    $2,500

      •  1)Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited United States technical institute, 2/4 year college/university with program in construction management, secondary votech school or tuition bearing apprenticeship program in the traditional building trades(e.g. carpentry, HVAC, electrical or related fields of study). Students pursuing certificate programs or apprenticeship programs are welcome to apply.
      • 2) Currently attending high school and will be attending an accredited school in the next academic year to one of the aforementioned programs.

  • American Welding Society (AWS Welder Training Scholarship)

    Deadline: December 1, 2023

    Eligibility Overview
    The current application cycle is open to students attending school or training by September 2024.

    1. Applicants must reside within the boundaries of an AWS District.  View the AWS District and Section Map here.
    2. Applicant must be planning to attend a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training.
    3. Awards will not be made to Section officers, or their families.
    4. Awards will not be made to Section Selection Committee members, or their families.
