My name is Ricky Hood. I am excited to be teaching Business CTE and to be coaching the Boys Varsity Basketball Team here at GTCHS. A little bit about my myself...

I am from Meridian, MS born and raised. As a standout basketball player, I earned an athletic scholarship to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (Let's Go Mocs!) and graduated with a degree in Business Administration (with a concentration in Management). I met my lovely wife Nicole Hood, who just so happens to be the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach here at GTCHS, while she was a member of the UTC Lady Mocs. Together, we have two boys, Ricky (13) and Rocky (8).

My background is Project Management, Safety Management, Sports Marketing and Entrepreneurship.  Although I'm a first year teacher, I believe that my personality, drive, and extensive real world experience in the business management and marketing world will help aid in the mindset development of our bright young students.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and volunteering my time coaching youth basketball. I have a passion for teaching, I love inspiring, and I love working with young people who are, in my opinion, the leaders and the stars of today and tomorrow! I look forward to a great school year!
