‘Students come to GTCHS because they want to learn.’

With an investment in Greenville Technical Charter High School (GTCHS) you will join an effort to redefine what is possible in public education.  GTCHS was the first early/middle college in the state of South Carolina opening its doors in 1999.  Today, a limited total of 440 students attend this college preparatory public charter school where we believe all students should have access to higher education.

Together, we seek to create an environment where different learning opportunities are actively pursued and where classroom teachers are given both the flexibility to innovate and the responsibility to be accountable.  Students come to GTCHS because they want to learn.

The school’s commitment to a rigorous curriculum, small classes, and highly qualified teachers make up the quality education we offer.  We believe that all students must gain mastery, not just of the foundational skills, but also of a set of competencies that will enable them to adapt to an ever-changing work environment:  analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, global awareness and financial, technological and civic literacy - preparing them for the global workforce of the 21st century!

We have been satisfied with nothing less than excellence for every student we serve.
  • Over 50% of the student body is currently enrolled in at least one college class.
  • 100% graduation rate (3 out of the last 5 years)
  • 36% of our student graduates have earned at least 24 college credit hours by graduation
  • $6.5 million dollars in scholarships from our 2015 graduates
  • Improved curriculum: Arts Program - strings, drama, art, band, guitar, and chorus
Our focus remains solid in producing graduates who are prepared for success in today’s world.

Please consider contributing to the uniqueness and excellence of the Greenville Technical Charter High School by giving a tax deductible gift today.  Together we can accomplish great things!
