Volunteer

At the core of GTCHS’s founding principles is a focus on service. Volunteering just a few hours of your time provides valuable support to the community, your peers, future students, and the ongoing vitality of GTCHS. Whether you’re looking for a way to give of your time and talents at school or even looking for opportunity to practice your profession, we have a place for you.

Here are some ideas about how you can get involved:

Students:

Work with students to effectively expand their future opportunities and talents.

  • Promote GTCHS to prospective students with your story
  • Mentor current students
  • Give a presentation about your work or personal journey post high school
  • Offer advice to seniors as they prepare to begin their careers

Fundraising:

Help shape the future of the school, its students and the programs of clubs you love.

  • Host a fundraiser with your class
  • Partner a business with the school
  • Help the school with grant writing

Classmates:

Get social with your fellow alumni.

  • Plan a class reunion or event
  • Connect with alumni through LinkedIn or the Facebook Alumni group
  • Take a position with the Alumni Association

School:

Volunteer your talents and interest at the school to further our goals

  • Request to visit or volunteer at the school
  • Sign up to be a Senior Project panelist
  • Run for a board position
  • Sign up to be a substitute teacher
