Early College High School Definition: An early college high school is a blend of high school and college. The program is demanding yet supportive. This program also combines the time to complete a high school diploma with the time it takes to complete the first two years of college. What is the difference between early college high schools and middle college high schools? What College Classes Could my child take? Students are able to take any college classes that are transferable. Students may not take any courses that were designed to improve skills that they are supposed to learn in high school. If a student wants to take a class that is not transferable or if they don't know if the class is transferable, they may talk to their guidance counselor.
