Scholarships for South Carolina Students
Life Scholarships: (for SC residents only)
The Legislative Incentives
for Future Excellence (Life) scholarship is a state-awarded
scholarship valued at $4700, plus a $300 book allowance per year. If
you are a South Carolina high school student who meets two the three
following requirements, you are eligible for the scholarship:
1) Your final cumulative
grade point average is at least a "B" or 3.0.
2) Your ACT score is at
least 24 or your SAT score is at least 1100.
3) Your graduate in the top
30 percent in your class.
Students must enroll on a
full-time basis and be in a degree seeking program. LIFE scholarship
recipients are not eligible for Palmetto Fellows or SC HOPE

Palmetto Fellows Scholarships: (for SC residents only)
You are eligible to apply
for this state-awarded scholarship, worth up to $6700 per year , if
you a South Carolina high school student with exemplary academic
credentials. Students must meet all three of the following
requirements:
1) Your cumulative grade
point average must be 3.5 at the end of your junior year.
2) Your ACT score must be a
27 or your SAT must be a 1200.
3) You must rank in the top
6% of the class at the end of either the sophomore or the junior year.

Palmetto Fellows recipients are not eligible for LIFE or SC HOPE
Scholarships. Recipients must enroll on a full-time basis and be in a
degree-seeking program.
SC HOPE Scholarships: (for SC residents only)
The SC HOPE scholarship is
a state-awarded scholarship valued at $2500 plus a $150 book allowance
for the freshman year only. If you are a South Carolina high school
student whose final cumulative grade point average is at least a "B"
(3.0) and you do not qualify for a Palmetto Fellows or LIFE
scholarship, you are eligible to receive this scholarship. For more
