Gwynne Armstrong has been at Greenville Technical Charter High School for 2 years. She's teaches Yearbook and  Resource. She most recently taught at League Academy with the Greenville County School System for 7 years. She taught at both Summit Drive Elementary and Wade Hampton Elementary for one year. She received a B.S. in Special Education from the College of Charleston and a M. Ed from Columbia College. Her favorite thing about GTCHS is the great kids! She coaches girls soccer at J.L. Mann High School and enjoys playing in her spare time.

Mary Brantley is enjoying Greenville Technical Charter High School as a teacher of Senior Project and College Seminar. She began teaching at GTCHS in 2002.  After living in Pakistan and India and other extensive world travel, she graduated with a B.A. from the University of North Carolina and has been with the Greenville County School System for almost twenty-five years, most recently at Riverside High School. She met her husband at N.C. State. For her, every day at GTCHS is a great experience.
Her favorite things about GTCHS are the fantastic faculty, fabulous manner by which we are treated by the PIP,  support from the administration and the opportunity to travel for professional development.

Brenda Britt is excited to be at GTCHS as a Junior English teacher. She has 28 years of experience with Greenville County in the teaching of Talented and Gifted. She has been teaching at GTCHS for 4 years and education for 36.  Mrs. Britt has a B.A. from Methodist College and her M. Ed. from Clemson. She collects flamingoes and loves the beach
. She enjoys the friendly and passionate students who strive everyday to achieve their best. Most of her students wouldn't know it, but she loves gum!
Brown-Williams, Jacque

Jacque Brown-Williams has teaching experience for over 20 years. She completed her second summer as a Teaching Fellow in Poland in 2007.  In 2003, she was a Shakespeare Scholar in London and received her National Board Certification in English.  Ms. Brown-Williams has taught Speech, Theatre and Dance as well as her current assignment of Social Studies.  Ms. Brown-Williams commutes from the lovely hills of Tryon, NC. She mostly enjoys the students' excitement and enthusiasm to learn. They motivate her to be a better teacher. She is an avid gardener and grows all of her own vegetables.

Ginger Cash received her undergraduate from Anderson University in Business Management. She received her graduate degree from Converse College in Secondary Mathematics. She previously taught at Getty's Middle School for three years.   The one item she enjoys most about GTCHS is the polite students and how they want to learn. She did not attend Clemson, but is a die hard Clemson fan!!

Valerie Chambers is enjoying GTCHS teaching Spanish II and III. She received her B.A. degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis area in Spanish, from Clemson University. She received her M. Ed. in Divergent Learning from Columbia College. She has been teaching at GTCHS for 4 years.  She enjoys the students' attitudes at GTCHS. She has 2 puppies whose names are Chloe and Riggo.

Mrs. Crank is a Social Studies teacher with 20 years of experience in Secondary Education.  She received her M.A. in History from the University of South Carolina. She has been teaching at GTCHS for 5 years. She is National Board Certified. Mrs. Crank and her husband have six children. She loves to travel and enjoys the camaraderie among the students and staff of Greenville Technical Charter High.

Gillespie, Ken

Mr. Gillespie received a B.A. degree in English Literature from Clemson University and a M. Ed from Furman University. He is in his 9th year at GTCHS and his 15th year in education. He enjoys the close relationships shared by students, parents, faculty and staff at GTCHS. He has illustrated four children's books that will be published this fall.

Mr. Ground taught Chemistry, Computer Science and Algebra at J. L. Mann High School, as well as an adjunct instructor at Greenville Technical College and Furman University. He is a graduate of Erskine College, Converse College and has studied at Clemson University, University of Nevada Las Vegas and the University of the Philippines. This is his third year at GTCHS and 28th year in education. He was a munitions expert in the Air Force.

Mr. Ingles has a B.A. degree in Political Science from Furman University and a M.S. in Secondary Administration from Furman University. He has twenty-five years of teaching experience in the Greenville County School District, including seventeen years at Eastside High School and two at Hughes Academy. Mr. Ingles teaches World Geography, Government and Economics. He enjoys the students at GTCHS. He broadcasted football and basketball for the Furman Paladins for 14 years.

Weslica Johnson has been in education for five years and is in her fourth year at GTCHS. Ms. Johnson enjoys the GTCHS students' smiles and laughter.  She believes that a day without laughter is a day wasted. Ms. Johnson interests include humanitarian work in medical missions and immigration advocacy.

Ed Kaczmarczyk received a B.S. in Mathematics, B.S. in Meteorology and a M.S. in Meteorology. He teaches physics at GTCHS. In addition, he teaches mathematics at Greenville Technical College and has worked for the past 28 years as a Senior Environmental Meteorologist with Earth Tech. Mr. Kaczmarczyk was the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers' 2003 High School Teacher of the Year. He enjoys swimming, hiking, painting, and reading.

Mrs. King has been in public education with Greenville County for seven years.  She is a musician and a artist. Bridget latimer Graduated from Winthrop University with her B.S. in Business Education and received her M.A. degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University.  She has been in education for thirty years. This is her first year with us at GTCHS. She likes beach music and dancing the Carolina Shag.

Laura Patterson graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Mathematics and her B.A. in French in addition to her M. Ed. in Secondary Math Education from Converse College. She has been in public education for 18 years and in her first year at GTCHS. She enjoys the warm relaxed atmosphere of GTCHS. She has a mathematically challenged moose, named Morris, in her classroom.

Ms. Rhodes has a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Carolina University and a B.A. in Secondary Mathematics from Converse College. Ms. Rhodes teaches computer science and business technology courses for all grade levels. She has been teaching at GTCHS since Spring 2001. She enjoys the students at GTCHS and the ability to teach outside the box. She has a variety of pets including dogs, cats, a frog and a rat.

Gigi Thompson received both her B.A. and M.S. from University of South Carolina, so she is a big Gamecock fan!  Mrs. Thompson chose teaching as her career because she loves children and math.  She has taught at the middle school, high school and junior college levels.  She has been in education for eighteen years and is teaching for her 5th year at GTCHS. She plays tennis and loves to hike to waterfalls.

Mrs. Wooten has a B.S. from Clemson, M.A. from Furman and post-graduate studies from U.S.C.  She was honored as the 1999 science teacher of the year in Greenville County.  Her teaching experience has been divided between Spartanburg County schools and Riverside High School.  Mrs. Wooten would like to challenge students to achieve their highest goals. She enjoys the "GTCHS people" and their kind spirit.
