Mr. Crawford

Email: fredcrawford@gtchs.org
Position: Principal

He received a B.S. and a M.Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina and has over twenty years of experience as a teacher, coach and administrator. Mr. Crawford is engaged in school reform efforts at both the state and national levels including the Coalition of Essential Schools, Annenberg Principals Institute at Brown University and the Principals' Center at Harvard University. He and his wife, Debra, have three children.

Ms. F. Allen

Email:  franallen@gtchs.org
Position:
 Assistant Principal

Mrs. Allen has been at GTCHS for four years. She majored in French and English in college. In 1976, she completed a Masters in Education focusing on administration. Before GTCHS, Mrs. Allen taught at Riverside and ran an extension program. She went to Mauldin as assistant principal and two years later began serving as Principal of Mauldin High School. She was at Mauldin High School until 2000.
The greatest joy Mrs. Allen has at GTCHS is working with students. Want to know something you didn't? Mrs. Allen taught Mr. Crawford French when he was in 10th grade!

Ms. M. Allen

Email: mallen@gtchs.org
Position:
 Guidance/Division II

Mrs. Mary Allen comes to GTCHS with 18 years of experience as a guidance counselor in the Greenville and Spartanburg County school systems.  For the last five years, she has served as counselor at Mauldin High School.  Prior to becoming a guidance counselor, she taught music in the public school setting, as well as in the private sector.  Mrs. Allen earned her BA in music from the University of South Carolina and her M. Ed. in guidance and counseling services from Clemson University.  It must be noted that she is a proud 'Gamecock' fan!

Mr. Bayne

Email: bobbayne@gtchs.org
Position: Associate Principal

Mr. Bayne graduated from Appalachian State and has been in education as well as married for 42 years! He's been with us for 6 years and has grown to enjoy the students the most. Before he came to GTCHS, he worked at Riverside, Parker, and Carolina High Schools in Greenville County. While not at school, he enjoys golf and, of course, being a CLEMSON fan!

Ms. Leigh

Email: tleigh@gtchs.org
Position: College Advisor

Ms. Leigh is new to GTCHS and is looking forward to being with all the students from the beginning of their high school career to end! She attended Greenville Technical Charter where she received her associate degree in Arts.  She received her BA in psychology and M. ED in Counseling and Guidance from Clemson University. Even though she is new to GTCHS, she has worked with the GTCHS students since 2003 and is much appreciated. Ironically enough, Mr. Bayne was her vice principal and Mrs. Fran Allen was her French teacher in high school!

Ms. McCartney

Email: ginnymccartney@gtchs.org
Position: Guidance, Division I

Mrs. McCartney received her B.A. degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and a M.A. in Guidance at Morehead State in Kentucky. She has been at GTCHS for one year and in education for 24 years! Throughout her one year at GTCHS, she has grown to love working with all the students as a counselor. Before GTCHS, she lived in Europe for 10 years!

Ms. Pourmand

Email: ellenpourmand@gtchs.org
Position:  Executive Director of Development

Ms. Pourmand has been with GTCHS for 6 years. Prior to GTCHS, she worked at The Salvation Army and The March Of Dimes.  She enjoys working with all students and parents. She has a soft spot for animals and has three wonderful children, two of whom are GTCHS graduates.
