Early college high school is a bold approach,
based on the principle that academic rigor, combined with the opportunity to save time and money, is a powerful motivator for students to
work hard and meet serious intellectual challenges. Early college high schools blend high school
and college in a rigorous yet supportive program, compressing the time it takes to complete high school diploma and the first two years of college.

The CES Small Schools Project is creating a
new generation of CES schools through
mentorship - connecting veteran, exemplary CES Mentor Schools with small, instructionally powerful, new and reconfigured CES schools - and
supporting their work with grants, extensive professional development opportunities, and research.

The National School Reform Faculty (NSRF) is a
professional development initiative that focuses
on developing collegial relationships, encouraging
reflective practice, and rethinking leadership in
restructuring schools -- all in support of increased
student achievement.
